Well I hope you all had an opportunity to visit the Step Into Africa exhibit. It was just amazing and extremely moving. You even have the opportunity through World Vision to sponsor a child as well as other sponsorship opportunities. If you have not had a chance, it will be open Monday from 9a-9p.

PRAYER REQUESTS AND PRAISES
The Sanders dear friend, Kristie Redmond, who is 27 weeks pregnant, is still on bed rest in the hospital with contractions
John Payne's sister, Lisa Turner, has Wegeners Disease, as disease of the immune system. Her upper respritory system is attacking itself. She has been on steriods for over 18 months now and has lost much of her hearing due to infection. Doctors are saying this is the worst case they have ever seen. Please pray for wisdom for her doctors and strenghth for Lisa.
Rozalyn Payne's Sister In Law's father has been put in a Hospice facility at the end of a 3 year battle with cancer. Rozalyn may be traveling to Colorado this week for the funeral.
Lee Ann Richardson's mother, Nancy, has signs that her breast cancer is returning

Looking for a Babysitter???? The Shaver’s daughters, Caroline and Mackenzie - are raising money to go on a spring break mission trip to Mexico with the youth group. They haven't announced the cost of the trip yet - which is scary in and of itself :) - but they’re thinking it'll be around $600-$800 each. Probably their best way of raising their money will be through babysitting! So, during the holiday season, if you are in need of a sitter, please keep them in mind!! During the school weeks they can't stay out too late but weekends are great. Also, they'll be out of school on the 21st of December so during those two weeks they can babysit during the week for later hours.

*Remember all, there is always breakfast on Sunday mornings in our class so come hungry! Here is the Sunday Morning Breakfast list…Dee Dee Anderson will shoot you a reminder prior to your Sunday. 2. Step Into Africa, a walk through exhibit showcasing the Aids pandemic in Africa, Feb 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Length: 45 mins. Free. Parental Discretion Advised. Location: The Rock Time: Open 9am-9pm each day
3. Habitat for Humanity is still looking for volunteers. Please see link on church website at http://www.fbc-mckinney.org/
54 In April there will be a church wide outreach in lieu of service one Sunday. Each BFG is being challenged to find a ministry/need in the community for outreach. Be thinking of ideas.....ex: Hope Resource Center, Seed Sowers Prison Ministry, Meals on Wheels, etc.

Newsletter Feb 17th 2008
Hi there all. It seemes like there is quite a buzz up at church lately. With the Step Into Africa exhibit on the way this coming weekend and mission trips heading out every 4-6 weeks, there is just a different energy at FBC that is truely exicting.
As for Builders of Faith, we have 2 new families that have joined this week...Kari Lynn & Michael Winders as well as Brian & Jen Easley; welcome ya'll! We can't wait to get to know you guys better.
MEN....The men are getting together this Friday to Fellowship at Main Event in Plano. Main Event is on 75 just south of Spring Creek. Todd has guranteed that there will be no scrapbooking or recipe exchanges during the get together:)
For the Ladies, next week, Thur, will be Ladies Night at Holly Caldwell's house. We passed around a sign up sheet for dishes. Praise...Sharee Sanders 85 yr old Grandmother has Leukemia and had no negative reactions to the chemotherapy Jennifer Clark's grandfather passed away.

John Payne's Aunt, Helen, passed to be with the lord this past week. As many of you know, John's grandmother, Juanita, passed away a few months back. Helen and Juanita were sisters.

Good Afternoon
What a great turnout we had today in class. It was great seeing everyone today and I'm glad so many were there for the opportunity to hear Craig's "story". Thanks Craig for sharing your testimony. I know it spoke to many of us.
As you all have heard over the past few weeks many in our class are signing up for or looking into Mission Trips in 2008. I've added a section to our newsletter regarding these trips.
We have 2 fellowship opportunities this month. The women are getting together on Thur 28th at Holly Caldwell's house for Ladies Night and the men are getting together at Main Event on Fri 22nd. See below for more details.
Also, in service today Jeff's message was regarding Romance in relationships. He referred to a book called The 5 Love Languages and highly recommended the read. This book is on sale now at Mardel in Frisco for $5.00.

Kim Kaiser has had dental work that is extremely painful and is having to take pain medication much to her chagrin.

Praise...Sharee Sanders 85 yr old Grandmother has Leukemia and had no negative reactions to the chemotherapy
Jennifer Clark's grandfather passed away. The family had to drive cross country to the funeral with 3 kiddos under 5 yrs.
Melissa Shaver is currently traveling to Orlando to speak at a Women's Shelter in a rather rough part of Orlando.
Lee Ann Richardson's mother, Nancy, has signs that her breast cancer is returning

Looking for a Babysitter???? The Shaver’s daughters, Caroline and Mackenzie -
are raising money to go on a spring break mission trip to Mexico with the youth
group. They haven't announced the cost of the trip yet - which is scary in and
of itself :) - but they’re thinking it'll be around $600-$800 each. Probably
their best way of raising their money will be through babysitting! So, during
the holiday season, if you are in need of a sitter, please keep them in mind!!
During the school weeks they can't stay out too late but weekends are great.
Also, they'll be out of school on the 21st of December so during those two weeks
they can babysit during the week for later hours.

1. The church is collecting donations of Diapers over the next few weeks for the Hope Resource Center. Their goal is 20,000 diapers. Let's help reach this goal! Please drop off diapers in the connection

3. Step Into Africa, a walk through exhibit showcasing the Aids pandemic in Africa, Feb 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Length: 45 mins. Free. Parental Discretion Advised. Location: The Rock Time: Open 9am-9pm each day

Howdy all!
Thanks to Jennifer Moore for spending time this Sunday to let us all in on the details from her life changing mission trip to Guatamala. I know she has inspired many of us to step up and be bold in spreading Gods word to other nations. Many from our class have already signed up or are researching heading out into the Mission field this year. Maybe you could join others from our class or find a trip that speaks to you, if you feel led to do so.

Note that the 4's classes will be moved to the 1st floor of the new building and the Kindergarden classes are moving to a hall adjacent from their old location, in the same building (the upstairs hall on the East side of the building) **These changes will take place on Feb 10th!
2. The church is collecting donations of Diapers over the next few weeks. Please drop off diapers in the connection
3. Crown Financial Small Groups begin the week of Feb 11th
